Coleshill Parkway Station

Snapshot

Scheme: The parkway station, with two platforms, ticket office and a 200 space car park is integrated with the adjacent bus interchange. The station provides trains to Birmingham and Stansted, and has shown increased patronage year on year since opening in 2007.

Background

Ian and Neil supported the securing of funding for the development as well as contractual management and commercial structuring. The core areas of support were:

  • Provision of a business case for the new asset.
  • Bid support to achieve LTP funding.
  • Negotiated and secured guarantees and funding agreements from Train Operators and the DfT.
  • Development and presentation of arrangements to the ORR to achieve support for the scheme proposals.
  • Production of in excess of 20 agreements to allow commencement of the construction phase.
  • Commercial support for the scheme, developing suitable contracts with contractors for the scheme delivery.

Outcome

The scheme was delivered on time, within the budget and to specification.
