The achievements of our incredible chairman, Adrian Shooter CBE, were recognised on Tuesday, 30 August at a ceremony at London Marylebone station.
To mark his huge contribution to the railway, a nine-foot bronze statue and plinth was unveiled, along with the naming of Turbostar No 168001 ‘Adrian Shooter CBE.’
A career-long railwayman, he is responsible for the success of the Chiltern Railways franchise and doubling passenger numbers through investment in the ambitious development of train services and infrastructure.
Adrian has not only been a huge influence and inspiration to our business, but also to many of us personally.
It’s fantastic to see him honoured at the station he transformed but also on his favourite train (Class 168/0 Turbostar No. 168001), which was the first train ordered by any private sector railway operator following privatisation.
