Sam Uren, Director of SLC, recently joined other volunteers to welcome Jon Fraser, the former Highways Lead at Worcestershire County Council and now a Director on the Board of Worcestershire Ambassadors to officially open the new premises of the Bromsgrove Youth and Community Hub, where Sam regularly volunteers.
The Hub provides a safe, inclusive environment for young people aged 9–25 to grow, express themselves and build connections. He was delighted to help mark this new chapter for the Hub.
Sam said: “Volunteering at the Hub has been a fantastic way to stay connected with young people. It encourages me to think differently, challenge my views and give something back to the community. It’s especially meaningful, as this is the same community where we built a station nearly 10 years ago!”
