Together with our client, Solihull Council, and partners Carillion and Network Rail, the team at SLC Rail is delighted to have been awarded Project of the Year Civil Engineering in the Constructing Excellence Awards.
The 18-month project to replace a road-over-rail bridge was delivered on schedule and on budget. The project team met tight deadlines including the successful possession of the West Coast Main Line over Christmas 2015 when the old bridge was demolished.
Since its opening, the new bridge has already reduced traffic congestion and is a key part of the infrastructure that is supporting economic growth in the West Midlands.
