Winners in the ICE West Midlands Civil Engineering Awards

The team responsible for replacing the A45 road-over-rail bridge is delighted to have been recognised with another two industry awards. At the ICE West Midlands Civil Engineering Awards, the team from Solihull Council, SLC Rail, Carillion and Network Rail were winners in both the Construction and Partnership categories.

The replacement of the ageing A45 bridge was technically challenging and required strong team working to achieve tight deadlines, particularly around the 54-hour possession of the West Coast Main Line over Christmas 2015. The project was delivered on time in September 2016.
