SLC supports Barnsley Council with Rail Strategy

It’s an exciting time for rail in Yorkshire! We’ve recently supported Barnsley Council in developing its Rail Strategy, which outlines a vision to enhance rail connectivity within the borough and across the wider region, improving travel for commuters and driving economic growth. The strategy focuses on economic growth, sustainability and creating opportunity.

Our work also aligns with the vision set out in Yorkshire’s Plan for Rail, produced by Lord Blunkett alongside West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin, South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard, and York and North Yorkshire Mayor David Skaith. We’re proud to be part of the journey to make these credible and deliverable rail ambitions a reality.
