Today is World Day for Safety and Health at Work and this year’s theme is the role of AI and digitalisation at work.

We are committed to protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of everyone we work with, while embracing the opportunities and managing the risks associated with AI and digitalisation. Here’s what a couple of our colleagues said:

Mark Finney, HSEQ Lead said: “AI is already playing a crucial role in enhancing Health & Safety by supporting the prevention of incidents. By integrating AI-driven analytical tools into our reporting systems, we are able to adopt a more proactive approach to safety management.”

Annalise Wall, Business Administration & IT Co-Ordinator said: “We provide all our employees and associates with regular Cyber Security training to help us stay ahead of the game on the growing number of cyber threats.”

Alistair Keen, Regional Lead – London & South East said: “Health and Safety extends beyond the traditional construction site-based activities, it starts with the way we develop our projects from the outset, at the feasibility stage considering the constructability of a new station or asset and the health & safety implications and challenges a particular project may face ensuring that our Clients can make the right decisions at the outset.”

Thomas Coon, Regional Lead – North West said:  “Our approach as a business to Health and Safety reflects our approach to everything we do. We have an excellent track record of safety across the business. This is because everyone genuinely takes ownership of their actions, whilst looking out for each other at the same time. We also put a huge emphasis on mental health and wellbeing.”
