Willenhall and Darlaston stations open today. These stations mark a major step forward for communities that have been without rail connectivity since the 1960s, unlocking access to jobs, investment and opportunities across Birmingham, Walsall and Wolverhampton.
We have been proud to play a key role as a Rail Delivery Partner in a joint venture with AECOM – Transportation, helping to bring these new stations to life and reintroduce passenger services on the Walsall to Wolverhampton line. We’ve supported every stage of the journey from early development through to construction and entry into service. This has included programme and project management, engineering and design management, commercial and contract administration, risk and safety assurance and on-site construction support.
A key part of the programme’s success has been a collaborative approach, bringing together industry partners, stakeholders and funding bodies under a shared vision to accelerate delivery and do things differently.
